This deBeer Softball has a Trutech leather cover, elastic shell winding, and the famous Clincher Stitch. deBeer Clincher 16 inch Softballs are restricted flight balls and are sold by the dozen. The core of any softball can be made from a variety of materials depending on its price and quality, but only high-quality balls, such as this deBeer Clincher, use a kapok core. Kapok cores are made from fibers of the kapok tree that is grown in the tropical climates of Central America and Western Africa.
